Alternative OATS Launches NEW Flavor!

Exciting flavor developments are underway in the world of Union Kitchen Accelerator Member Alternative OATS, founded by Chris and Mel Burger. Chris and Mel launched their convenient on-the-go oatmeal blends through their hardwork with our Accelerator Team. By leveraging Union Kitchen Ecosystem resources the pair developed a mission, vision, and actionable strategy for their brand and launched a market ready product into market.  Alternative OATS has introduced this delightful café blend - featuring flavors like coconut, cranberry, and cinnamon, inspired by valuable feedback from their devoted customer base. The call for more basic flavors was met with enthusiasm by Alternative Oats, staying true to their customer-centric philosophy.

Alternative OATS’ oatmeal blends are packed with antioxidants, superfruits, organic seeds and nuts, and larger single-size servings, perfect for a filling and balanced meal on-the-go. The brand also emphasizes the use of clean and simple ingredients differing from other oatmeal brands with products that may be filled with excessive sugar and other unnecessary ingredients. Alternative OATS is an alternative approach to what oatmeal can be.

The market is the best teacher! Once our brands launch into market, connecting with customers and collecting feedback is an essential part of testing product market fit. Alternative OATS is a prime example of making things people want and listening to feedback in order to build the best product possible. The Cafe Blend flavor is joining a mouth watering product line including enticing flavors such as banana bread, acai, and dragon fruit. During the pandemic, they began “tinkering” with different holistic ingredients to create a fun and nutritious oatmeal, leading to the creation of a bright pink oatmeal blend, which evolved to their popular flavor, island spice.

The Alternative OATS team heard you and you can now indulge in the convenient oats we all know and love know in a new flavor. Chris and Mel are a great example of the importance of listening to the market, connecting with your customers, and making things people want!
