Here's The Scoop, Simples Pleasures Launches Seasonal Flavors!

Tis the season for ICE CREAM! Your favorite Made in DC ice cream, Union Kitchen Accelerator Member Simple Pleasures has officially launched holiday flavors that you are not going to be able to resist - Bourbon Butter Pecan and Ginger Snap. Simple Pleasures, founded by two Veterans, Terri and Rodney Russell, launched their CPG ice cream brand through their hard work with our accelerator team after they pivoted from their brick and mortar business. 

Terri and Rodney joined Union Kitchen with a passion for making deliciously creamy ice cream, and the goal of getting that ice cream to more customers. They worked with our Accelerator team to develop a mission, vision, and strategy for their brand, and from day one owned their manufacturing. This allows them to control the quality of their product, be reactive to the market, and do fun amazing things like launch holiday pints to make everyones taste buds happy!

Terri and Rodney are a shinning example of the success that can be found when entreprenuers own their own manufacturing and take a phased approach to growth. They spent time and effort getting to know their community and building a solid base of support among their neighbors ontop of which that have built the beginnings of an ice cream empire. They can now be found in major retailers such as Mom's Organic Market and are continuing to grow! Their ability to connect with people isn't limited to the outside community, they are well known in the internal Union Kitchen community as well for taking new brands under their wing and being incredibly supportive.
