I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream For GELAT'OH!

Union Kitchen Accelerator Member Gelat'oh, founded by Sierra Georgia, has officially launched their market ready product into Union Kitchen stores. After her love of gelato took her all the way to Italy and back, Sierra and Gelat'oh are bringing their flavor revolution to the customers of the DMV.

Sierra's passion for gelato began in 2013 when she launched the first gelato truck in Washington, D.C. From the get go she knew that his was just the beginning of her journey and she was right. In 2016, Sierra traveled to Bologna, Italy, to become an Artisan Gelato Master at Carpigiani Gelato University, where she honed her craft and gained invaluable knowledge about the art of Italian gelato. Upon her return, Sierra found herself experimenting with the desire to put her own American spin on this traditional Italian treat. 

Her goal was to create a gelato that would make you stop and go "oh!" because it's just that dang good, and with flavors like White Coffee, Milk and Cookies, Salty Caramel, and 'Mericas Chocolate, it's safe to say she's achieved that goal! Sierra isn't one to shy away from developing new flavors. In fact, she relishes the opportunity to experiment and push the boundaries of what's possible with gelato, always focused on creating products that people want.

Through her hard work with the Union Kitchen Accelerator, Sierra has taken her conceptual ideas and passion for Gelat'oh and created a market ready product. This mouthwatering local delight is now in the hands of local consumers. Sierra is connecting with these consumers and will be hustling to improve her gelato to the best in the business and make a yummy treat that people want! 

Sierra is a force to be reckoned with in the kitchen. This gelato master owns her own manufacturing, controlling the quality of every single pint that hits shelves, and driving her company where she wants it to go. She has completed Phase One of starting a successful food business! Gelat'oh follows in the footsteps of other powerhouse Union Kitchen Accelerator members like Maspandas, Snacklins, and Compass Coffee, all of whom are DC-based food manufacturing companies that are valued over $15 million! 

Building a successful food business takes perserverance and passion; there is no shortage of either among the Union Kitchen Accelerator entrepreneurs. The mixture of Union Kitchen's ecosystem of: kitchen, distribution, and retail allows businesses like Sierra and Gelat'oh to create a product, develop proof of concept at an accelerated rate, get their product into market, and sets them up to grow regionally and beyond.
