From Concept to Coolness: PopStars Popsicles Make a Sweet Debut!

Everybody raise a popsicle to one of Union Kitchens newest Accelerator Members, Pop Stars, founded by Jenn and Jon Monkin. From Jenn's treasured childhood moments enjoying popsicles to her heartwarming days as a teacher, creating memories with kids, – Pop Stars’ story is a testament to the couple's passion for popsicles. Popstars worked with the Union Kitchen Team to make their idea a reality, they developed a mission, strategy, and manufacturing process and have launched a market ready product!

As a child, Jenn had cherished memories of savoring delicious popsicles, and this passion would stay with her into adulthood. Jenn’s time as a teacher, crafting memories with kids sparked her inspiration for creating something special, something that would bring people together just as those teaching moments did. So, she and her husband got to work crafting frozen delights that would help people create new, cherished memories.

Starting a food business comes with its share of challenges, and Jenn and Jon were no strangers to them. Crafting the perfect ice pop recipe, sourcing high-quality ingredients, and navigating the intricacies of manufacturing were just a few of the obstacles they faced. Jenn and Jon worked with Union Kitchen to navigate these challenges so many new brands face. Union Kitchen guided them through the intricacies of scaling production from a home kitchen to a commercial space allowing them to own their manufacturing and create a high quality, market ready product. Popstars will now launch into all Union Kitchen stores, begin connecting with local customers to collect feedback and test product market fit. 

Jenn and Jon are following in the footsteps of many other successful Union Kitchen Accelerator brands such as Compass Coffee, Snacklins, and Vegetable and Butcher, all of whom own their own manufacturing and have followed a phased approach to growth allowing them to have stronger margins and in turn achieve profitability faster and more consistently than their peers. Their product is not just a frozen treat; it's a labor of love that encapsulates the essence of shared memories and joyful moments. Each flavor is a testament to their commitment to crafting exceptional experiences, just like the ones Jenn cherished from her childhood.
