Revol Snax Launches New Brownie Protein Bar

Do consumers have to choose between health and taste? Nadine Calderon and Dave Birsen, the founders of Revol Snax, don't think so. After the successful release of their bites and nut butters in 2020, Revol Snax spent 2 years developing a refrigerated product that marries healthy and tasty (so they never have to be apart again)! The result? Brownie protein bars

Revol Snax’ brownie protein bars are  unique. They’re keto-friendly, 100% plant based, and made from only fifteen real ingredients. This includes hemp protein and coconut, which provide healthy fats. The brownie bar is also made from a special sugar substitute called allulose, which tastes just like sugar, but without the negative side effects. This means that, just like Revol Snax’ other products, the brownie bar is sugar-free, vegan, paleo, and low-carbohydrate!

Nadine and Dave are proud of the time and effort they spent developing this product, and are confident consumers will love them as well. The company went through multiple rounds of selling prototypes of their brownie protein bars and applying consumer feedback, until the product was perfect for launch.

One additional challenge the two co-founders had to overcome during this period, was transitioning their bites’ manufacturing process from tabletop production to small batch, where they started to use pieces of equipment to produce their product at scale. Nadine and Dave made this change as it is a more efficient way to manufacture their product.

Although it took a lot of hard work to get to this point, Nadine and Dave are happy to release their brownie protein bars. “Injecting your current energy to a product-based business is hard, [but] people really want something new to be excited about again,” Nadine says.

The next steps for Revol Snax? Expanding their reach by breaking into the retail space. “Up to this point, we’ve been primarily [pushing sales] online through our website and Amazon. We are in some stores, but we feel like we haven’t reached even half of [our] potential,” Nadine notes. The company is hoping that the right investor will help Revol Snax grow– a partnership that will officiate the brand’s commitment to healthy and tasty snacks.

You can purchase Revol Snax in stores all across the U.S., including our Union Kitchen stores.
