SNACKLINS®, a healthy, low-calorie mushroom and yuca-based chip pitches Sharks on Sunday.

Rockville, MD —SNACKLINS ®, the DC area-based snack company, announced it will air on ABC’s Shark Tank on October 20th. Shark Tank, the critically acclaimed and multi-Emmy Award winning reality show, gives entrepreneurs the opportunity to pitch their companies to a panel of top-tier executives and investors for a chance to score investment deals that can supercharge their businesses.

Samy Kobrosly, co-founder of SNACKLINS ®, will pitch the company’s one-of-a-kind low-calorie mushroom and yuca-based chip during the fourth episode of Shark Tank's 11th season. The episode will air on ABC Sunday October 20th at 9PM ET.

Founded in 2015, SNACKLINS® began as a joke between friends to create a vegan pork rind. As a son of Tunisian immigrants brought up in a Muslim household in Iowa, Samy Kobrosly didn't eat pork but he always loved a satisfying snack. After a move to the Washington, D.C. area and a five-year stint as morning radio personality “Samy K” on the nationally syndicated The Kane Show, Samy found purpose in food. That joke to create a plant-based version of a guilty pleasure quickly became Samy's obsession. He tested countless versions with chef friends who quickly began requesting his new snack for their bars and restaurants. Sensing something larger than an off- hours hobby, Samy incubated SNACKLINS® within Union Kitchen, the D.C.-based food accelerator and shared kitchen.

"Since day one, SNACKLINS® fans have told us we should be on Shark Tank. That day has finally come,” says Samy Kobrosly. “Having the chance to be in the room with some of America's most prominent investors and to share our product with a national audience is surreal. I still can’t believe it happened, I'll be anxiously tuning in on the 20th so I can stop pinching myself.”

SNACKLINS® aims to make those mundane snacking moments a little more flavorful and those flavorful moments absolutely guilt-free. Often referred to as “junk food without the junk”, SNACKLINS® is made from real, all-vegetable ingredients you can read. An entire bag contains only 80 calories -- that’s five to 20 times fewer calories than leading chip brands.

Tune into Shark Tank on Sunday, October 20 9PM ET, 8PM CT, or 9PM PT to see SNACKLINS®.
